Inverted Screw Grommets (also known as Captive Nuts or Expansion Nuts) enables panels or components to be securely fastened with the use of a self-tapping screw. The Screw Grommet snaps into various panel thicknesses.
Depending on the type, they can differ slightly in appearance from the drawing, but all have an open end allowing the screw to pass through.
Screw sizes are shown in the table in both imperial and metric (ST) form.
Typical applications include vehicle fascias and trims, electrical circuit boards and domestic appliances.
